A Plot Twist
Looking for just another set of photos from corn harvest on this small plot of land surrounded by developments ranging from hospitals, banking headquarters, apartments, McDonald’s, condominiums, 60s-era tract homes built over an Indian mound, an abandoned warehouse converted to a university co-working and teaching center, strip shopping center, fire station, and senior care center yet still falling within agriculture tax structure which is the only reason for it still being farmed.
That’s complicated.
Then simplicity hit me. Two kids stepped from their mom’s car and played with corn stubble as they watched Kevin run his old combine through the corn.
The complexity disappeared. Life really is simple if we allow ourselves the opportunity to play with makeshift toys like corn stubble and not worry about the harvest.
