Because I Do

There are a lot of things I don’t have to do.

I don’t have to like you.

I don’t have to be liked.

I don’t have to use deodorant or bathe every day.

I absolutely do not have to obediently sit at a red traffic signal when no other cars are on the roadway.

I don’t have to have an opinion.

I don’t have to explain myself or answer any questions.

I don’t have to make photographs for anyone other than myself.

I don’t have to explain why.

I just do.
