Creative Failure
There isn’t a real path to inspiration. Not a path that is definable. Not measured. Or cataloged.
Most of the time inspiration comes from failure. Creating an opportunity to study what went wrong. Why it went wrong. Is there a lesson in failure?
Failure eliminates the obvious. What began as an idea becomes the obvious failure and defines the next step or process. Failure teaches resilience. Failure offers challenges.
Creativity requires the opportunity for failure. The chance to experiment, to study perspective, to know the result is not in the first attempt.
Failure becomes motivation. Becomes persistence. Becomes greater effort.
Succeeding at failing helps you realize that perfection is a trap where failure is the only result in any creative challenge.
While failure can be disheartening in the moment, it often serves as a catalyst for learning, resilience, creativity, motivation, empathy, and a deeper understanding of success.
