Elemental Requirements

Getting balanced is key or you fall on your keester. And adding balance can add significance importance to composing a photo. Both these photographs are interesting moments because of the wonderful golden hour color as the sunset strikes the trees just above the shadow from the hill.

Admittedly the results are subjective but the top photo with a bare limb at the top right frames the side. The darker tree to the left adds a border to the other edge giving the photo a broader expanse to help tell the story and provide a greater context and location.

Sometimes adding instead of eliminating elements can add to the impact of a photo.
