Bonnie Jo Mount, a photographer, recently traveled to the Everglades National Park in Florida to participate in The Washington Post's podcast "Field Trip."

This expansive park spans over 1.5 million acres and is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including hundreds of bird species, numerous reptiles, and dozens of mammals.

Among these animals are threatened manatees and endangered panthers. Visitors to the park can witness alligators and crocodiles coexisting in their natural habitat, which is a unique occurrence that can't be found anywhere else on the planet.
