I Often Wonder
Not sure what I wanted for breakfast I paused the decision to the point that all I wanted was to find some cold pizza so I didn’t have to think about what ingredients were available, what the cooking process would be, how many dirty dishes I would have to wash and dry, if the choice of a meal to start the day was sufficiently healthy and nutritious enough to get me to the next meal of the day or the next good snack, or if making a protein smoothie was the simplest idea.
One of my choices was an idea I had when I bought a new very small cast iron skillet just large enough for one adult portion of an egg, meat, potato, and cheese baked dish.
The resulting meal was delicious and I wondered why I’d not made the decision sooner even with the worry about nutrition, carbs, protein, and dirty dishes.
Now, about the photo I have planned for later today. Is there a cold pizza equivalent for deciding how best to make a good photo? Should I just make a selection from the available ingredients and start shooting and learn from the process?

Almost everything I shoot goes through Luminar Neo. Even after I’ve made the first edit of my raw file in Adobe Camera Raw. I’ve built my own set of Luminar presets for the places and things I normally shoot and for different lighting conditions at those places. Then it’s easy to adjust the results for fine-tuning each photo. This is an affiliate link so I might make a little something from sale. Download it for the trial period.
