I'd rather be lucky ...
Made this photo last January as an 18-frame bracketed panorama to hold highlights and shadows. There were six 2-stop bracketed frames for the left third, six for the center, and six for the right third. That’s 18 frames.
Time stamp shows the 18 were shot in about eight seconds, handheld. ISO320. F22 for the star pattern around the sun.
The HDR panorama was the only way to hold both the highlights in the sunlit section at right and the other side of the creek in a darker shadow. Plus keeping the sun from being overexposed. Fortunately, the sun was behind a thin cloud that helped hold the highlight by diffusing the direct light.
I don’t have the opportunity to make many 18-frame, 2-stop bracketed HDR photos. This one turned out very good.
