Least Value - Most Valuable
There is a small Domke gadget bag included in my everyday carry. In it is a selection of lenses with a combined value that wouldn’t equal that of any major camera manufacturer’s standard small zoom. And much less value than a premium zoom.
Their value is so low that even if stolen they wouldn’t total the deductible.
They are among the most important lenses I own as they make me think more about the photos I’m making when I use them.
All fixed focal lengths and manual focus, their use demands a dedicated purpose, a singular direction, and an isolated perspective. All requirements for making good photos.
