I’m shooting so policymakers can see those images and bear witness to them through my lens,” said Addario, who spoke briefly over the phone with The Daily Beast twice in November, including once from Ukraine, where she was on assignment covering Russia’s war. “I’m shooting to give a voice to people who have something to say.”
