Not Always Joyous
Ordinary Moments Are Necessary
Not every photograph has to be the one, the only one, the complete and final chapter. Sometimes it’s just a chapter or a paragraph in beginning to tell the story. Sometimes it may seem to be insignificant to the story.
But the reality is no photo, no matter the lack of immediate relationship to the story, is insignificant. It may be the best way of getting to the story by removing possibilities that don’t matter.
It’s no different than lens choice or what makes up the background. It may be a discarded idea and action. Both require thought and action by the photographer even if they become discards.
