Not Enough Time For Timely Cause

Wrote myself a note today that “I don’t have enough time to do what I’m not doing” which on the surface sounds like something Yogi Berra would have said.

I said it in response to someone suggesting to me an idea they had that might interest me for further study. My response is above.

What you can’t hear in the reading is my emphasis on “I’m". I’ve so much that I want to do that won’t get done I’m not going to have time for an idea from someone else.

An artist friend jokes that he has to hold back on what he truly wants to say when someone tells him “You know what you ought to make?” Like he doesn’t have enough creative ideas to keep himself busy.

I’ve got enough creative ideas to keep me busy.
