Saved Until Today
Made this photo several years ago during a shortcut through a cemetery after a dusting of snow. The only reason was as an illustration for a story about stock photography being dead.
Stock photos had become a commodity, losing their individual value and being ganged together like bundles of bananas for sale in boxes.
“Buy them in a package deal. Bigger discounts if you buy more. Buy them all for a very special price. Own them all!”
Threw it up on one of the stock sites captioned to indicate its use for stories on the death of stock. A perfect illustration. Selling as rights-managed.
Should have known. Stock is dead. It hasn’t sold. Not once.
