Shapes and Sizes
I wonder if Picasso ever looked at one of his own artworks and pondered what was going through his mind when he created it. He knew that he had made it and could see the intention behind it, but couldn't recall what had inspired him to create it at that moment in his creative process.
I’m no Picasso. Never claimed to be. But if I’m right in thinking that he sometimes surprised himself with his own work, then I’m among friends.
The three photos above are all with seven frames from each other in the small collection in a dated folder on a hard drive. I remember them, vaguely. Don’t remember the circumstances. Don’t remember why I converted them to black and white.
Perhaps it’s the patterns, the shapes, their sizes, or composition.
I don’t know and it probably isn’t necessary.
