Good news photographers must learn to disengage to observe the event or action better. 

As a good news photographer, you must not only stay highly engaged with the camera but also learn to disengage. This allows you to attain a level of technical and creative involvement where the camera's operation becomes second nature. The primary engagement then shifts to the subject, enabling you to take in a wider overview of the moment.
