The Importance Of Disengagement
Disengagement is a powerful primary tool for a good news photographer. Disengagement allows greater situational awareness and the ability to search for and isolate the next or better or best photos.
Good news photographers must learn to disengage to observe the event or action better.
As a good news photographer, you must not only stay highly engaged with the camera but also learn to disengage. This allows you to attain a level of technical and creative involvement where the camera's operation becomes second nature. The primary engagement then shifts to the subject, enabling you to take in a wider overview of the moment.
