The Root Of the Problem
Enough philosophy for the week.
Well, maybe a little philosophy. If that’s possible. A little philosophy is like being a little pregnant.
Being a little pregnant is like making good photographs.
You do everything to get started. They’re pleasurable things. You might have to do them more than once to make it work.
Charge your batteries. Insert the largest SD card you have. Set the speed to an appropriate amount to match your lens opening. This is variable depending on the desired effect.
When you begin to show progress, you take measure of the expectation and try other techniques to create a new set of responses.
Eventually, you decide on all the proper settings, the ones that are producing the best results. You stick with them until satisfied.
Then you step away, remember the moments that got you to this point, evaluate any changes you might want to make for next time and tell yourself how satisfying it was and how much you’d like to do it again after you get to see the results.
Maybe I should stick to philosophy.

This is an Amazon link where I make a few pennies to help pay for my life. Today’s books are How Philosophy Changed Photography and The Will to Believe: and Other Essays in Popular Philosophy.
Almost everything I shoot goes through Luminar Neo. Even after I’ve made the first edit of my raw file in Adobe Camera Raw. I’ve built my own set of Luminar presets for the places and things I normally shoot and for different lighting conditions at those places. Then it’s easy to adjust the results for fine-tuning each photo. This is an affiliate link so I might make a little something from sale. Download it for the trial period.
